Lousy app for Air Conditioning
very very lousy app. I use it to control the wind-free AC unit in my daughters room especially. I also control the same type ACs in the living room and master bedroom. you cannot select at which setting the unit will star when you schedule it. It starts only at your last selected setting. It keeps forgetting your other settings too. for example the lightnon the indoor unit keeps turning back on and I have to turn it off everytime. uses am/pm type hour. with a wrong touch of your finger, the time setting will be wrong and AC will remain open all night. ls it really so hard to put the 24h option there? anyway the lousiness is a part of samsung I guess. average brand, average product. buy mitsubishi electric if you can afford it. I have 5 mitsubishi electrics in the winter home and the build quality, silence of both indoor and outdoor units are many times better, even though they are 8 years older. also the app is much better. you can choose which mode the unit will run when programming and can turn the whole schedule (weekly program for example) on and off with a single button. this app may be useful to connect many other samsung brand electronşc devices but for ACs it is more troublr than it is worth. do not buy samsung and do not be bothered by this app. and also, my neigbour downstairs also bought a newer wind free ac for her daughters room in the summer house. the unit just does not connect to smart things. it used to at first, but after just a few months, it no longer does. he is an electronic engineer so I am positive if there was a solution to this, he would have found it. Also I am a mechanical engineer. so trust me when I say the quality is average for these samsung ACs, no matter what youe dealer tells you.
